Its main objectives include improving the efficiency, sustainability, logistics and competitive edge of agri-food supply chains by extending the model of the &#8220;Durum Wheat-Pasta Protocol&#8221;.<br \/>\nAs Italy is the world\u2019s third-largest producer of tomatoes, Mediterranea seeks to guarantee the quality, traceability and geographical origin of its products, promoting the Mediterranean diet and supporting exports.
